At Two Rivers, we believe that most children have a desire and longing for relationship with God. In fact, Jesus tells us adults that if we want to receive the Kingdom of God, we must receive it like children do - eagerly, joyfully, without hidden agendas (Matthew 18).  Our goal in all of our kids and youth ministries at Two Rivers is to create loving, fun, nurturing environments that enable children to begin and grow in relationship with their Father in Heaven through Jesus. That relationship will guide and shape their whole life as they continue to learn to trust Him, their forever friend.

Since we are a relatively new and growing church, we are continuingly expanding the ministries we offer to children and their families. Here are our current programs...

Child Care (6 months - preschool)

All ages of children are welcome in the auditorium throughout the adult worship gathering. We also hire college students majoring in early childhood related fields to care for our children during the worship gathering. Our nursery is filled with fun toys, books, and snacks so our children can enjoy playing together and making friends. During the sermon, they stay in the same room for their lesson.

Preschool Lesson

We have teams of teachers who come into the nursery every Sunday to teach our 2-5-year-olds during the sermon. The lesson includes songs, snacks, crafts, and lots of sensory input to bring the bible stories alive.

Kids' Church

Each week, a team of teachers takes our kids in Kindergarten - 5th grade to the kids' church area for their weekly gathering. We might stage an impromptu drama, sing rockin' worship tunes, or dig into the bible together. Many of our teens also attend kids' church as helpers, as we are making plans to add programming specifically for them.

Youth

Beginning September 20th, TRVC Youth will be meeting every Sunday night!  6:00-8:00 PM at Doug and Amy Kvidera's home, 618 N. 9th St in St.Peter.  For more information, contact Andrea Brinkert at andrea@trvc.org
